Dr. Weisgerber is an avid sports fan and he enjoys playing, coaching, and spectating. The only teams he likes more than Marquette are his daughters' soccer teams. He enjoys the diversity of patients and conditions he sees as a hospitalist and is active in many aspects of medical education – from administration to teaching on the wards to educational research. "I love having three jobs in one – being a hospitalist, a clinician-educator and a Program Director! The people here at Ƶ are fantastic – whether it is the patients, the faculty, the nurses, the students, the fellows, the administrative staff – and of course the residents. I can't imagine being anywhere else."

After her chief year, she joined the pediatric faculty at the Ƶ in 2013, practicing pediatric hospital medicine at the Children’s Wisconsin. Being a pediatric hospitalist has allowed her to pursue her clinical goals of caring for hospitalized children, and it has also given her the opportunity to keep her passion for education close to her heart, as she continues to work closely with residents both clinically and in various academic pursuits. As such, she was excited to join the medical education team as associate program director in 2016. Her specific medical education interests include handoffs and documentation improvement. Although she was born and raised in rural Northern Wisconsin, she has grown to love the Milwaukee area and has now enthusiastically called it her home for over 10 years. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, as well as cheering for her sons at their many soccer games, reading, music, travel, and Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Notre Dame sports.
